Day +1000: Thankyou

Today marked the 1000th day of my bone marrow transplant.

I would like to thank every one of you who gave me tremendous support in facing this challenging episode of life; my wife, dad and mum, my sisters & brother, relatives, classmates, friends, colleagues. A thousand days only possible with you.

Day +289 : Twilight

I am fine today. I still feel breathless most of time. Up down of staircase, I need to take a deep breath, Last Visit, Dr Alan said maybe my lung is affected by GVHD (rejection). This coming Tuesday, I will take the lung test to check if my lung functioning well.


Last friday night, Hiap Soon and Teck Ann drop by. Hiap Soon brought me a series of books on Twilight. I asked him to buy them in Shanghai. It is much cheaper getting them in China . For the same price, you paid in Renminbi .

Hiap Soon has brought me many books, I think more than 20. I really appreciate this a lot. My free time is with book, Internet, music, video. I have a phobia go to public place, concerning about the Haze and H1N1, my choice is staying in the house.

Day +200 : 200 days of my transplant

I am fine today.

One of my colleague has passed away, he returned to heaven on last Friday. The funeral was held at his hometown Behrang, Perak. He was a General Manager based in Shanghai before retiring not long ago. He was diagnosed with nose cancer few years ago. I remembered meeting him at IOI's Cinema during Chinese New Year in 2006. May he rest in peace.

Today mark the 200 days of my post transplant. I have four times admission to hospital SJMC this year due to infections. I wish to extend my appreciation to friends and colleague who lending me a helping hand. I am sorry that I did not get the opportunity to greet everyone personally, and hope to see you in the near future.

Day 70+ : My Birthday

I was admitted to hospital on 8 Jan 2009, that day is my birthday. The blood pressure is moderate high 150/110, but doctor said it can cause headache , which I encounter for the last few days. CT Scan on the brain show everything is normal. I was discharged on 10 Jan 2009.

I celebrated my birthday together with Ah Siew, Teck Ann and Adrelin, Stanley,Fong Ming, Chen Yoong at Hospital. Hiap Soon can't make because he is in Shanghai. They brought me a big present, WII video game. I like to thanks them. Most important, they give me the courage to continue the fight. I appreciate our friendship over the last 30 years.

Day +63 : Thanks

I am not feeling well for the last few days, that why I did not write my blog.

I wish all your a happy NEW YEAR 2009. My new year wishing is to stay healthy and celebrate the 2010 countdown.

I would like to say a big thank you to all of you who supported me and my family throughout the challenge of my life. The following card is for you.
