Day +86 :大年初二

I am fine, but the cough seem to be getting worst, and disturb my sleep.

Today, Chen Yoong & family drop by to visit me just now, he is on the way to his wife hometown Nebong Tebal. This year, we make some keropok , Ajak , and fry crab stick. Chen Yoong said the keropok served with ajak taste good. The keropok is produced from Brunei and Ajak recipe is from Bau.

The GVHD attack my saliva gland, cause my mouth very dry, most food is tasteless for me.

Day +85 : 大年初一

I am fine today.

My Wife sister, Ah Ling invited us for the New Year Lunch at a OUG vegetarian restaurant. She order two tables for 24 people. All my sisters & family attended the lunch. My mother in Law and sisters from Kuching celebrated the CNY in KL this year.

My mouth is still dry, I took mostly the soft food like Tau Hu and the vegetarian Shark fin soup. More importantly feeling good, this is the first time I went out after discharge from hospital on 18 Jan.

能夠一家人坐在一起吃團圓飯，那種感覺最幸福
這一年我不祈求甚麼，只希望孩子家人都能健康平安，那就很足夠了
也祝福所有人在這一年都能平安順遂，健康圓滿

Day +84 : Making New Year Cake

I am fine today.

My wife, Ah Siew like to make cake , she specialty is Multilayer Cake, it taste good and smooth. It is a steam cake. With a cup of tea/coffee, it really taste wonderful. But the process is quite tedious, as you need to add the ingredient layer during the steaming process. The the whole process took about 2 hours to complete a cake. This year Ah Siew make a plum cake and a Nescafe cake.

Day +83 : Wishing You A Happy Chinese New Year

I wish you a very healthy, happy and prosperous Chinese New Year!

I am fine today. Chen Yoong is my driver today, he delay his trip back to Triang by Noon. Fong Ming/Lau Toh/Boon Tiam/Teck Ann is back Triang this Saturday

Last Year I am having Chinese New Year in Kuching. This is first time I celebrated CNY in Puchong.

Day +82 : Hiap Soon 's Visit

Today, Teck Ann and Hiap Soon visited me this morning. Hiap Soon brought me three books, The Audacity of Hope and Chance We Can Believe In by Barack Obama, The DA VINCI Code by Dan Brown and also a packet green tee, 西湖龙井 . Thanks Lau Toh.

Teck Ann help me to fix up my house window closer handle , they have broken.

Chen Yoong drop by on Thursday night, he will be my driver this Saturday, I need to do dressing on my PICC pipe.

Day +82 : Life goes on

My neck st iffiness really bother me. While, I just have to take it. Doctor Prescribe me an oilment to released the pain, and he said is is better than YOKO, but the fact is, it don't work.

Teck Ann was the driver again for the yesterday follow up, the blood counts show the platlets increased from 30+ to 70+, and White count is about 7+ and HB is about 11+ , which is accepted to him. My my lung infections is still not clear yet, Dr Alan want me to continue the antibiotic for additional week. This new drug produced by Pfizer , call ZYVOX. What is special about this drug ? This is probably the most expensive tablet I ever taken, it cost about RM150 per tablet.

Day +80 : Tong Chai's Visit

I am still not feeling well, can't get good sleep due to cough.

Yesterday night, Tong Chai from Kuantan , together with Fong Ming visited me. My neck was very stiff at that moment, so I went to sleep earlier. I understand Chen Yoong also drop by later.

I have not visited Chen Yoong's house yet since he moved in BDR Puteri Dec 08. Even Fong Ming House, back to back with my house, I have not seen the interior decoration yet.

Day +79 : Engineer

Today I am fine, but my neck is very stiff and cough frequent.

I am reading Jan Monthly Bulletin of the Institution of Engineers , one of article sound interest, It was estimated there were 80,000 engineers in the Malaysia in 2005, based on population of 25 million, the engineer-population ratio was 1:312. Most advanced countries have an engineer-population ratio ranging from 1:75 to 1:141. The study recommended that Malaysia Government could set an advanced nation benchmark at an engineer-population ratio 1: 100.

We have a lot classmate study engineering , but not many practising engineering.

Day +78 : Discharge from Hospital

Today, the blood count test is stable, HB: 12.2, Platelet 39 ( previously 32) and White Blood Count 7.4, Dr Alan Teh discharged me this Sunday. Next follow up on Wednesday 21 Jan 09.

Stanley had sent me the birthday photo taken on 8 Jan 2008. His New Nikon D300 + his skill, photo quality is really good. Me and Stanely is like abang adik during the secondary school.

One of most activities we did during is having a hokkien me at 后街 for supper, Ka Kin, Ah Ban, Teck Ann, Armour, Lau Toh, Ah Yoong, Tong Chai also join. It cost only about RM6 per plate for 7 to 8. A plain food, but all us enjoy the event very much, even the food not yet probably put well on the table, we have started to move to get the food. The Chinese Tea was eventually taste like plain water due to multiple water adding. This was 20 yrs ago. Sometime Fong Ming and Ah Tiam, Kam Swee also joined in.

Day 76 +: Progressing

I am still feeling no well, but at least able to have more physical movement. Today the blood counts show HB ( Red Blood) 11, white blood count 10, which is a good sign, But the platelet is still low, about 32. Doctor said if the blood count stable, I should be discharged by this Sunday.Today noon , Ka Kin visited me. He is attending 7 series BMW launch in KLCC tonight. Ka Kin brought me a book 给像大树的泥。 Publish by 慈济。 Teck Ann also present. We have about 2 hours chit chat.

DAY +75 : Survive

Friend, I am lucky to write a few word in my blog today, and this is the first I am doing it at SJMC. I was admitted second second this Jan 09, due to severe lazzy, Ah Siew call SJMC's ambulance on Monday morning. My Blood pressure go down as low as 65/35. Doctor said a further delay I probably just a few step away from fatality. Due to my low immune system , I also counter minor penumia infectious which cause me cough, the antibiotic will clear it in about two weeks time.

I indeed appreciate I managed to pass this critical test, hope to speak and meet all of you soon. Do me a favour, if you have long time have not bring your family for a meal or call your mum/daddy/brother sister, do it more frequent, life sometime is unpredictable.

Day 70+ : My Birthday

I was admitted to hospital on 8 Jan 2009, that day is my birthday. The blood pressure is moderate high 150/110, but doctor said it can cause headache , which I encounter for the last few days. CT Scan on the brain show everything is normal. I was discharged on 10 Jan 2009.

I celebrated my birthday together with Ah Siew, Teck Ann and Adrelin, Stanley,Fong Ming, Chen Yoong at Hospital. Hiap Soon can't make because he is in Shanghai. They brought me a big present, WII video game. I like to thanks them. Most important, they give me the courage to continue the fight. I appreciate our friendship over the last 30 years.

Day +65 : Happy Birthday to Teck Ann

I have a bad headache for the last few days, it make me really suffer. I just try to divert the attention to other thing to reduce the pain.

Today is Teck Ann's Birthday, wish him a happy birthday. I get to know Teck Ann on Primary 5, After more than 28 years, we are still very close in contact. We used to have teh tarik at his work place few years back. Now, Chen Yoong have moved in to Bdr Puteri, soon Fong Ming will shift in as well, by then I probably can call a weekend teh tarik at Bdr Puteri.

Day +63 : Thanks

I am not feeling well for the last few days, that why I did not write my blog.

I wish all your a happy NEW YEAR 2009. My new year wishing is to stay healthy and celebrate the 2010 countdown.

I would like to say a big thank you to all of you who supported me and my family throughout the challenge of my life. The following card is for you.
