Day + 170 : Buying ASW 2020

I am fine today.

My wife bought RM2000 of Amanh Saham Wawasan 2020 ( ASW 2020) many years ago, and the yearly dividend is better the fixed deposit interest. I went to Maybank Bdr Puteri, asked for ASM , was told the allocation for Non bumiputra sold out after 2 days launched. This indicate people still have more cash in hand. The next fund is ASW 2020 due to open on 27 April. If you have FD, you may want to consider switching to this fund.

Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) will offer an additional Malaysia (3.33 billion units of Amanah SahamASM) from 21 April 2009 (Tuesday) and two billion units of Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (ASW 2020) from April 27 (Monday).The maximum allowed per investor is 20,000 units :- Amanah Sahama Malaysia (ASM), the limit is applicable throughout the offer period beginning April 21, 2009 until July 20, 2009.- Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (ASW 2020), the limit is applicable throughout the offer period beginning April 27, 2009 up to to May 6, 2009. After the offer period, there is no limit provided that all the new units not yet fully subscribed.Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM) is open for all Malaysian, latest information reported that for the additional 3.33 billion units of Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM), 1.665 billion units (50 %) were offered to Bumiputeraa, 999 million units (30%) to the Chinese, 499.5 million units for Indians (15%) and the balance of 166.5 million units (5 %) for other Malaysians.Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (ASW 2020) has a quota of 51% bumiputra and 49% non bumiputra.You can buy the Amanah Saham Malaysia and Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 from PNB offices and the 1,500 agents which are Maybank, RHB Bank, CIMB Bank and Pos Malaysia.
